Brussels pulls Vienna to Luxembourg
According to the European Commission, the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) violate the transparency rules of the European Union.
Therefore, the Brussels authority sued the Government in Vienna to the European court in Luxembourg.
The group could not guarantee that subsidies were used properly.
It cannot be ruled out that ÖBB had used the subsidies for cross-subsidisation of other transport services and thus gained an invalid competitive advantage.
