IMS offers its customers strictly neutral services for container traffic on the European mainland. We work exclusively for forwarders, shipping lines, shipping agents and related companies – never directly for shippers.

Milestones
- 1992 Founded in Vienna, operations started in October 1993
- 1994 The first containers – container operating quickly becomes the core business
- 1996 Own train products at our own risk
- 1998 First block train from the German seaports to Wolfurt; own customs service and container tracking for customers
- 2004 First operator to run round trips from Vienna to Hamburg and Bremerhaven with a private railway undertaking
- 2006 Own truck fleet for on-carriage
- 2007 Own branch in Hamburg for the customs handling of the trains
- 2011 Acquisition of the Business Unit West of Intercontainer-Interfrigo – expansion into Switzerland
