EU clears P3
After the competition watchdogs in the United States, the cartel investigations group in the EU have now cleared the way for the planned P3 Alliance of Maersk Line, MSC and CMA CGM.
The European Commission had informed the shipowners yesterday that no proceedings against the project would be launched, said a statement from CMA CGM.
The Commission will continue to pursue P3 to ensure that the cooperation is in line with EU competition law.
Now the decisions of the cartel guards in China, South Korea and some other countries are outstanding.
