IMS operates extra trains with additional capacity from Rotterdam
As every year also over the new year 2013/2014 the demand for import places from Rotterdam has increased.Therefore at the beginning of the year 2014 our import trains are fully booked, with the consequence that for
short term bookings the requested departure date could not have been guaranteed.
We apologize very much and thank you for your patience and your understanding.
Due to the actual high demand, IMS decided to operate – additionally to the normal scheduled trains – the following extra trains:
special train I (import) Rotterdam ECT and EMX loading 25./26.01.2014 => Frenkendorf CT arrival 28. 01.2014
special train I (export) Frenkendorf CT departure 28.01.2014 => Rotterdam ECT and EMX arrival 29.01.2014
special train II (import) Rotterdam EMX loading 29.01.2014 => Frenkendorf CT arrival 31.01.2014
special train II (export) Frenkendorf CT departure 31.01.2014 => Rotterdam ECT/EMX*
special train III (import) Rotterdam ECT/EMX* lading 01./02.02.2014 => Rekingen CT arrival 03.02.2014

With the additional capacities of the special trains it will be possible to reduce drastically the actual existing waiting times. In order to use the additional capacities in the best possible way, it was necessary to adapt certain terminal slots of the normal scheduled trains. Therefore it can exceptionally be, that containers which has already been confirmed for departure have to be rebooked on the next following train. We are convinced, that with this additional capacities the transit time will be reduced noticeably for the majority of your containers.
Please notice that the special trains offers you additional departures for your export containers. Concerning further special trains or other measures we will inform you as soon as possible.
